Bolivia Expedition #1: June 2 - 23, 2007

June 6, 2007
Guide Andrew Wexler called this morning at 7:30am (10:30am Bolivian time) just as the group was preparing to head out for the day's trek. He said that yesterday the team ascended Taquesi Pass at 15,420 feet, then descended to 11,300 feet where they camped for the night at a beautiful location by a river. "We had a great hike," Andrew said. "The weather is the nicest I think I've ever had on this trek. One team member commented that this might be the best hike he's ever done in his life!"

Today, the team will descend into the jungle, ending up around 7500 feet, then tomorrow they'll be return to La Paz. Andrew said he'd be in touch soon!
