September 3, 2007: Skills training in the Condoriris

AAI guide Mark Johnson called in this report:

It's been a stormy day at times today. We started out under some pretty nice skies and some sunshine. We walked up to the base of the glacier to do skills but after about an hour-and-a-half, clouds came out of nowhere, it got dark, and we got two inches of grapple along with some lightening. We hung in there and stayed down low at the base of the glacier, and right after lunch the weather got quite a bit better. We were able to finish our skills up with out a problem.

Tonight we will get up at 3am and see if the weather is good enough for us to get up and down Pyramid Blanca. Everyone continues to do well, and all are ready to get up to see what the weather brings and what we can accomplish.
